Visitor Centre

The Sicamous & District Visitor Centre welcomes guests from across Canada and the world, highlighting all that the Shuswap has to offer. We are a four-season destination located on the shores of both Mara and Shuswap Lakes, surrounded by four sledding areas—Queest, Owlhead, Blue Lake and Eagle Pass—offering visitors the unique opportunity to snowmobile, golf and boat all in the same day!

While Sicamous has earned the title of Houseboat Capital of Canada, it also offers many more activities and events throughout the year, providing an unforgettable experience for everyone, from high octane thrills to laidback leisure. Sicamous continues to go full throttle even in the winter and was voted 2017 SledTown ShowDown Champion of Western Canada, was nominated again in 2018 and continues to vie for the title every year.

The Sicamous and District Chamber of Commerce is the sponsoring organization for the Visitor Centre, which is also supported in part by the District of Sicamous and funding from Destination BC. We are one of 110 certified Visitor Centres across the province, with an average of 4,500 visitors in the months of July and August alone!

Our staff is all certified in the Destination BC Tourism Visitor Information Counsellor Training Program and able to help guests plan their ultimate vacation in Sicamous and beyond as they travel through B.C.
